2017 Northern Health Run Walk ‘N Chalk community colours Cooper Street for sick kids!

On Sunday, 21 May the Northern Health Foundation hosted our 2017 Northern Health Run Walk ‘N Chalk. For the first time in 13 years the event swapped its timer system for chalk opting for a less competitive and more colourful day out with family and friends.

The day saw a record number of over 1000 participants who all came together as a community to raise money for the sick kids of the north. Cooper Street was covered in 3km’s of rainbow chalk and laughter for the brave and post event burgers and pancakes for the local foodies. Entertainment by 14 year old guitarist and vocalist Helena Riley and the local St Monica’s School Band was a big hit for those wanting to chill out on the bean bags post mayhem.

None of this would have been possible without our fantastic sponsors including City of Whittlesea, Heritage Care, Plenty Valley Community Health and Melbourne Market Authority along with event supporters F45 Epping and Bunnings Epping. We would also like to extend a special thank you to our record number of over 50 Northern Health Volunteers who donated their time to be there on Sunday and whom without this event would not of been so successful.
