JUNE UPDATE – First Emergency Accommodation Relief House

In 2016 the Northern Health Foundation launched our Emergency Accommodation Relief appeal, aiming to build homes for Northern Health patient families who were travelling excessive distances to access our services.

Our last update in April announced the framing was complete, and we are now delighted to announce that is no longer just framing, we are now at the fixing stage as the interior begins to look more like a home rather than a construction site.

Very soon we will have the keys in our hands, ready to pass them on and provide accommodation for our patient’s families, as their loved ones spend time in the hospital.

Again, all of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of long time Northern Health visionaries and patrons, Paul and Angela Wheelton AM, Maxxia, BankVic, Freemasons Victoria, and John T Reid Charitable Trusts.

We thank all involved in the fundraising, large or small, who have helped in seeing this vision become a reality.
