Our Vision

To be Victoria’s leading health care Foundation to support Northern Health’s vision of Outstanding Health Care for our Community.

We support the Northern Health network by coordinating fundraising activities that will assist Northern Health and related services to continue to provide high quality, innovative health care services for our patients and local community. The Northern Health Foundation was established as a charitable fund in 2005. All donations we receive over $2 are tax deductible.

We work collaboratively with Northern Health to engage our clinicians, volunteers, staff and community to develop a culture of philanthropy through innovative engagement.

Our People

The Northern Health Foundation is administered through a Board of Management with an independent Chair and community Board members, supported by the CEO and Finance Director of Northern Health.

Foundation Chair, John Molnar

John Molnar has practiced law for thirty years and during that time, became heavily involved in the field of law relating to health service providers and hospitals. He has served on the Boards of a number of public and private hospitals, including Northern Health and the Nurses Board of Victoria. Recognising the need for the additional funding so that Northern Health can meet its commitment to the rapidly growing northern community and establish itself as a major teaching and research centre, John was instrumental in the establishment of the Northern Health Foundation and remains a passionate advocate of the Northern Health network and the dedicated medical professionals who work within it.

Foundation Director, Ryan Brown

Ryan Brown has a long and successful track record of managing fundraising activity in leading not-for-profit organisations including Variety (Vic) and CARE Australia. He has worked with major corporate organisations at an international, national and local level to build highly successful corporate partnerships that deliver tangible benefits to companies, while supporting and advancing the work of their charitable partner.
